Live Oak

The idea for this painting was originally inspired by a vision. The idea floated around in my head for many years and just recently found an expression after an inspiring and rejuvenating visit to Bok Sanctuary. Awe for nature can at times make me feel tiny and insignificant, which is good for humility, but can block the way to realizing that I’m a part of it all. Connecting to nature is sometimes easier if I imagine that I see the world from the tree's perspective.
